Every one reacts differently to pan handlers. 99 out of 100 times I avoid them and don't give them any money. I do not have the answers, but I know I do not want to be bothered, and a stranger asking me for spare change or a dollar is bothersome to me.
YOU may feel differently and you may have a much greater heart for their plight than I do and I am thankful for people like you, cause I simply don't see any benefit for me or the pan handler via me giving them money.
We can get into the whole analysis of it. I ponder, do they have no family? Do they have no friends? I am not saying this in a judgmental kind of way, cause I am not judging them, I simply want nothing to do with ANY stranger who is asking me for money.
As long as we are on this topic, 99 out of 100 times I NEVER purchase any thing from any stranger who is a phone solicitor. Call me for ANY THING and 99 out of 100 times I will end up either hanging up on you or cutting the phone conversation off real fast.
A phone solicitor to ME, is on the order of a pan handler, except one is down and out and broke and the other gets rejection all day long via calling strangers to present their offer. I have ZERO interest in either person.
I went into a SubWay sandwich store today and yes, there was a pan handler out side asking any person walking by if they had any spare change.
Ten minutes later, there was a fat white lady in her mid to late 40's pan handling in front of a Dollar Tree store. I observed her for a minute or two and to my astonishment, black people seemed to be sympathetic to her cause and gave her some change
97% of all blacks voted for Obama. A portion of the whites who voted for him, did so to not be prejudiced. I think some of the blacks who gave change to this white panhandling woman, did it because she was white. Weird gig.
After kayaking for a few hours, I went to a Dollar General store. A skinny white older drunk was pan handling near the front door and an older black guy walking with a cane was watching cars pull into the parking lot and would slowly walk up to them asking for a dollar. Go away!!!!!!
